I rushed to my closet and grabbed my camping backpack. I was going to be prepared. I didn’t know how long it would take. Hours, days, weeks even...I walked out of my room, brushing shoulders with Derek on my way down the hall.

“Where are you going?” I ignored him and kept focused on my mission.

In the kitchen, I packed my bag with as many snacks and bottles of water it could fit. I rifled through some camping gear in the garage and a rain poncho. I had one more item to secure and it proved my determination. I went to the bathroom to put on one of my great-aunt Catherine’s diapers that we had left over from when she visited a while back. Yep, I was all in.
